Bargaining Update: Final Proposals & Administration’s Response
Negotiations Recap: February 19, 2026
Here’s what happened in negotiations this week:
We presented our final proposal on Artificial Intelligence (we have developed language in conjunction with the other Oregon Community Colleges) that covered guidelines for pedagogical integration (or not), use in LMS, faculty work protections and data protections. We have now passed all of our proposed articles.
Administration’s Counter-Proposals
Administration passed 4 Articles to us:
-
Forum Recognition
-
No Strikes or Lockouts
-
Dismissal Process
-
Grievance Process
Key Areas of Concern:
-
Grievance Protections: They rejected our clarification of grievance triggers and want to keep much of our current language the same.
-
Tenure Rights: They are proposing a significant change to our current process by removing the optional faculty hearing for tenured faculty facing dismissal.
📄 Full Text: For a full text of all of the proposals, please check the Negotiations Google Drive.
