Common Questions About Negotiations
Here, we address the most pressing questions from our faculty and community regarding the ongoing negotiations.
What is the current status of the negotiations?
During the past seven days our Bargaining Team met, discussed the state of Bargaining, and came up with what is officially termed a Final Offer. This offer is being submitted to the Employment Relations Board (ERB) accompanied by a determination of cost of our proposal (so-called “Costing”).
How can faculty members participate in the negotiation process?
Faculty members are encouraged to attend open forums and provide feedback through our designated communication channels. Your input is invaluable to our efforts.
What are the main goals of the negotiations?
Our primary goals include securing fair wages, improving working conditions, and ensuring that our educational standards remain high for the benefit of our students.
What Our Community is Saying
“The negotiations team has been incredibly transparent and dedicated, ensuring that our voices are heard and respected.”

“COCC’s actions demonstrate that they are fine with COCC faculty being among the lowest paid at any community college in Oregon. When you factor in cost of living, we are the absolute lowest paid faculty,”
